High School & Middle School Parent Club


 

The Our Lady of the Elms Middle School and High School Parent Club is an organization comprised of Elms families which provides an important link between students, faculty and parents.  Parent Club is open to all Elms parents and guardians, and is governed by an executive board made up of parents.

 

Current News!

  • It's not too late to order a Holloway Jacket. Jackets can still be purchased, send your check and order form to the office marked Parent Club.
  • The General Meeting will be held on May 10, 2012 at 7 pm in the school library. We will be voting on new officers and the updated bylaws. Please join us!
  • If you are interested in holding an office or just want to help out, please contact Missie Schoenbaechler or Rita Rochford.

 

Membership

  • Membership is open to all Elms High school and Middle school parents and guardians. Family dues are $40.00. 
  • General membership meetings are held twice a year: Sept. 13, 2011 and May 10, 2012.

Benefits

  • Families who join receive a dress down pass for each daughter. 
  • Funding of “One Call," an email and phone communication system used by the school.
  • Hospitality for Open Houses, Scholarship Placement Exams, Freshman Orientation, Concerts, and Exam Breakfasts to name a few. Please help us host these events by volunteering your time or baking talents.
  • Parent Club sponsors several events throughout the year, including: Meet the Teacher Night, Parent Visitation Day, and Awards Night. 
  • Parent Club provides several Scholarship opportunities to the daughters of members. They include:
    • Leadership Scholarship --$500 scholarship to a senior who has demonstrated outstanding leadership through her service to the local community. Please see the new application form for eligibility and requirements.
    • Junior Womanhood Award -- $500 tuition award for an 8th grade student who is continuing her education at the Elms. Renewable for a total of 4 years. Selected by the Middle School faculty and announced at Awards Night.
    • Guardian Scholarship -- $1,000 tuition assistance to a junior student who has a financial need in her senior year. Please see the high school principal for more information.
