Noelle Colant '13 lives in London and is pursuing her PhD in Biochemical Engineering at University College London (UCL). Her research involves creating a novel manufacturing platform for vaccine and gene therapy products. Read more about what Noelle has been up to since high school.

Jessica McFall Forrest '03, Meghan Goetz '04 and Antha Poleondakis '03 have been named the recipients of the Greater Akron Chamber’s 11th annual “30 for the Future” award. Independent committees selected the recipients - all between the ages of 25 and 39 - based on professional accomplishments, leadership and community service. Jessica is an attorney at Ciccolini & Associates, Meghan is a marketing consultant and brand strategist at MG Marketing Co. and Antha is a wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch.

Claire Heinle '18 was one of 20 teenagers from around the US to be selected to participate in the National Parks Grand Canyon Leadership Program last summer. Her group rafted 226 miles of the Colorado River over 10 days. They assisted blind/visually impaired students and learned a lot from them along the way. Representative from the National Parks Service educated the group about the land and conservation strategies.

Audrey Holcomb '18 is one of four 2018 High School graduates who received a Bruce Buchholzer Scholarship from the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame (SCSHOF).

Hannah Matasich '12 is the barn manager at the George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center at Lake Erie College. She is a 2016 graduate of Lake Erie College with a bachelor’s degree in equestrian facility management. Prior to becoming the barn manager, she traveled along the east coast for the Winter Equestrian Festival as a professional groom for trainer Peter Wylde.

Lisa Petrarca '92 is engaged to Adam Gamido. She works as a counselor at the Community Health Center in Akron. He is a second-year medical student in the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. A summer 2019 wedding is being planned.

Anne Mason Yensz '06 is an assistant at a collision repair facility in Toledo. She and her husband, Robby, purchased their first home in the fall of 2017.

Serena Silvestro '17 passed away on July 28, 2018, due to complications of cystic fibrosis. See full obituary. As part of its fall commencement exercises, Cleveland State University (CSU) awarded an honorary degree to Serena, a pre-med student. The honorary degree was accepted by her parents. Serena was diagnosed with the disease as a child but did not let that stop her from succeeding both academically and athletically in junior high and high school. She entered the pre-med program at CSU at the age of 16 and was also highly active in raising money for cystic fibrosis research and supporting other individuals with the disease. The Serena Silvestro Memorial Scholarship at Our Lady of the Elms School was established by her grandparents Deanne and Nino Silvestro.
