2010 Awards of Distinction
The Dominican Sisters of
Peace in partnership with their ministry, Our Lady of the Elms School are
honoring the following 2010 Awards of Distinction recipients at the
Gathering of Thanks on June 11, 2010:
Sister Augustine Alumnae Award
This is awarded to an
alumna in recognition of outstanding and ongoing volunteer service to Our
Lady of the Elms High School.

Catherine of Siena Award
Honors a woman who has promoted peace and justice while
empowering others to reach their full potential.

Peace Friend of the Elms Award
This is awarded to an individual who through his/her
consistent support of the Dominican Sisters of Peace has made a lasting
contribution to the Elms community

Legacy Award
This award distinguishes a person who, through her/his
dedication to and support of Our Lady of the Elms Schools, has helped to
ensure the future education of young women in the Dominican tradition.

This is awarded to an alumna who has distinguished
herself in her personal, professional, and spiritual life and in her
service and commitment to the Dominican Sisters of Peace.

Sr. Elizabeth Ann
Schaefer, O.P. Women’s Leadership Award
Honors a woman who most clearly exemplifies those
qualities of leadership that characterized Sister Elizabeth Ann’s
commitment to women and to her role in the Church and public life.
