2010 Awards of Distinction

 

The Dominican Sisters of Peace in partnership with their ministry, Our Lady of the Elms School are honoring the following 2010 Awards of Distinction recipients at the Gathering of Thanks on June 11, 2010:

 

Sister Augustine Alumnae Award

This is awarded to an alumna in recognition of outstanding and ongoing volunteer service to Our Lady of the Elms High School.

 

Award Recipient: Fran Gradisar Moore

 

 

Catherine of Siena Award

Honors a woman who has promoted peace and justice while empowering others to reach their full potential.

 

Award Recipient: Martha Ganyard Kermizis

 

 

Dominican Sisters of Peace Friend of the Elms Award

This is awarded to an individual who through his/her consistent support of the Dominican Sisters of Peace has made a lasting contribution to the Elms community

 

Award Recipient: John Stoner

 

 

Our Lady of the Elms Legacy Award

This award distinguishes a person who, through her/his dedication to and support of Our Lady of the Elms Schools, has helped to ensure the future education of young women in the Dominican tradition.

 

Award Recipient: Mary Anne Rothermel

 

 

Dominican Sisters of Peace Distinguished Alumna Award

This is awarded to an alumna who has distinguished herself in her personal, professional, and spiritual life and in her service and commitment to the Dominican Sisters of Peace.

 

Award Recipient: Sr. Mary Ann Wiesemann-Mills O.P.

 

 

Sr. Elizabeth Ann Schaefer, O.P. Women’s Leadership Award

Honors a woman who most clearly exemplifies those qualities of leadership that characterized Sister Elizabeth Ann’s commitment to women and to her role in the Church and public life.

 

Award Recipient: Lisa Massello

 

 

Special Recognition

This award is given when a person or couple has made outstanding contributions to the ministries of the Dominican Sisters of Peace.
