  • Gospel Meets Symphony 2.0 Interest Meeting | Wednesday, October 23
    We’re looking for performers ages 12-18 to work with the Gospel Meets Symphony Choir under the direction of Choirmaster Jonathon Turner. The junior choir will consist of 30 to 40 members and will perform during the Akron Symphony Orchestra’s annual Gospel Meets Symphony concert. Learn more…

  • GirlTime: Healthy Tech Habits Workshop | Saturday, November 3
    Join us with your tween/teen girl for this informative and fun event to learn more about how you can stay safe online. Taking advantage of their roles in Compliance/IT Information Technology Audit and Information Security, Michelle Creer and Cassandra Amos will review the importance of internet/social media safety and electronic device security. Ms. Creer and Mrs. Amos will comment on the increasing risks of teenagers and use of social media and connected devices as they highlight recent incidents. They will walk you through tips on securing your devices and apps, establishing rules for device usage at home and how to monitor your child's digital activities. Cost is $40 per family and includes the speakers, one device storage box/crate and light refreshments. Register here.

    • Saturday, October 26 - Middle School Dance
      The middle school dance will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Exciting news! This year, students will be offered two free tickets for the dance - one for themselves and one for a friend. All guests must be in grades 6-8! Students from other area middle schools are invited to attend, as well; however, guests without a ticket will need to pay a fee at the door. More info will come as we are closer to the event.
