Winter Sports Recap
The Elms varsity basketball team finished the season at 6-16. Seven of the team's losses were by 10 or more points, nine were by single digits, many going down to the wire. The team had almost three double digit scorers led by Audrey Holcomb '18 at 13.6, Toni Chinchar '18 at 12.6 and Theresa Damm '19 at eight points per game. The team averaged almost twice as many points than a year ago. Chinchar broke the school record for most points in a game with 35.
The Elms Varsity Bowling team started off the season bowling a collective 500 and ended up in the mid 600's by the end of the season. All five teammates improved drastically this season. Captain Rachael Saepic '18 returned for her final year as she set a tone of positivity and leadership for the team by encouraging all teammates and assisting the newer girls as needed.
First year bowler Rowan Lilly '20 received the 'most improved' award for the year, starting off the season bowling in the 70's and finishing out the season in the high 120's. She set a personal best high of 140 during the season. The Elms finished in the middle of the pack for the district.
