Ralph Bernard & Florence Bernard Foundation Scholarships
This scholarship is for non-Jesuit Catholic high school students in Summit County and meant to, ideally, provide one-half of the necessary tuition to cover a student. Ralph Bernard was adamant that success in high school is due to a combination of a student’s hard work, as well as, the support of his or her family. This scholarship is meant to help only a few students with partial tuition assistance. This scholarship is for “middle of the road” children— who, much life Ralph himself, work hard to perhaps are only B students. Students who qualify shall not have less than a 2.0 cumulative grade point average but are not in the top 10% of the incoming freshman class.
We ask that the student complete 1 writing prompts and read the history of the Ralph L. Bernard & Florence A. Bernard Foundation. Write a well developed essay that is no more than 1 page in length. Feel free to write your essays in advance and copy and paste them into the online form for submission. Top essays will be forwarded to the Foundation for its review and ranking.
