Samuel Smith Joins Our Lady of the Elms as 5th Grade Classroom Teacher
Sam Smith is joining Our Lady of the Elms School as a 5th Grade Classroom Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. With a solid foundation in English Language Arts and Social Studies, as well as extensive experience in Catholic education, Samuel brings a passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
Samuel earned his Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education from The University of Akron, with a focus on English Language Arts and Social Studies, and holds a State of Ohio licensure in Middle Level Language Arts and Social Studies (grades 4-9). He has been actively involved in Catholic schools, having taught 5th grade at Seton Catholic School, where he integrated technology and differentiated instruction strategies to support diverse learners. Samuel worked closely with school administrators and fellow educators to align classroom practices with school-wide academic goals and behavioral expectations, ensuring a holistic and practical learning environment.
